About my work
I research and teach in the areas of ethics, moral psychology, and Latin American philosophy.
In moral psychology, I investigate the impacts of empathy on moral perception, judgment and motivation. I also examine the ways that our moral agency is shaped by our social environment, and I explore various obstacles and opportunities for moral growth.
In Latin American philosophy, I write about Mexican-American and Latin American metaphilosophy, and about decolonial theory, immigration, and Latina feminism.
